This week, we're talking about Turntable (YC W23). This is a (very) under-the-radar project that 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 change how you orchestrate dbt. Turntable is packed to the gills 🐟 with cool functionality like:

🔁 Column-level lineage: this is going to save your team a ton of time in debugging and triaging pipeline issues. I think 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘸 SQL orchestration tool in 2023 needs column-level lineage.

✨ A built-in AI copilot: it's a meme at this point, but there are certain areas where AI can bring a ton of value and documentation is one of them.

📖 Documentation enhancements (many): processes that are terrible often don't get done. Unfortunately, that's the state of dbt docs, currently. Turntable 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 make this a thing of the past.
